Mercedes Benz EQA with a premium home EV charger.

Mercedes Benz EQA + Premium Home Charger = Over Excited Neighbours.

The Mercedes Benz EQA looks good, but it looks even better next to a premium home EV charger to match that will have the neighbours peering over the fence for a glimpse.

Mercedes Benz EQA EV is it any good?

The EQA is the latest electric car from Mercedes Benz and it’s a great little EV. It’s perfect for the city because it’s small and easy to park, but it’s also got plenty of power and a great range.

The EQA is really fun to drive. It’s got a lot of power (350) and it handles really well. It’s also really quiet (being an EV) which is great for city driving. The range is impressive as well. I’ve been able to drive it for over 125 miles (without lowering the battery too much) on a single charge, which is more than enough for most trips and keeps range anxiety at bay – you can always go for the larger 55.0 kW battery if you plan on longer trips.

The EQA is also perhaps surprisingly affordable. Whilst it’s certainly not the cheapest electric car on the market, it looks reassuringly expensive when actually if you go for the lower range battery you can get an instant bargain. Plus, it comes with a lot of great features, like the Mercedes Benz app and the voice controlled assistant.

Average Charging Times for the Mercedes Benz EQA

Quite a few variables here so lets take it from 0% to 100% charge for simplicities sake.

  • 3 pin to type 2 = est. 28.5 hours at 7.5m/h
  • Premium home charging with a 7.4kW EV charger = est. 8.5 hours at 26m/h

Please note: your battery level should never go below 20% if you can help it, this defends your Electric car from EV battery degradation

Can you charge a Mercedes Benz EQA on Type 2 EV 3 pin plug?

Yes if you have a 3 pin plug with Type 2 connector then you can plug in and charge up, however you may be there for a good while, a 3 pin plug will output at 2.3kW so get what you need to get on your way to a real charger or better still get a 7kW Home EV Charger such as the Optimus

Mercedes Benz EQA Connector type/charging ports

As you would expect the being a new/newer EV the EQA has both the fast charging CCS for DC rapid charging and the Type 2 connector as standard.

Mercedes Benz EQA 350 | Range

It has a sleek and stylish design, and it’s packed with all the features you need to make your drive smooth and comfortable. The EQA 350 EV is also extremely efficient, and it can go up to 190 real miles on a single charge.

This car is perfect for long drives and weekend getaways. The EQA 350 EV has plenty of power and speed, so you can easily keep up with traffic. It’s also very quiet and efficient, so you can enjoy a peaceful ride without having to worry about your carbon footprint.

If you’re looking for a high-quality electric car that’s perfect for everyday use, the Mercedes Benz EQA 350 EV is definitely worth considering.

Mercedes Benz EQA 350 EV | 0-60 MPH

The Mercedes Benz EQA 350 EV is a stunning vehicle that is sure to turn heads when driving. Not only does it look great, but it is also incredibly fast. The EQA 350 EV can go from 0-60 mph in just 5.8 seconds. This makes it one of the fastest vehicles in its class. It is also incredibly efficient, with an EPA estimated driving range of up to 186 ‘real’ miles. This makes it the perfect car for long drives.

Mercedes Benz EQA 350 EV Battery Options

The EQA comes with two different battery options: a 36.8 kWh battery and a 55.0 kWh battery.

The 36.8 kWh battery is the smaller of the two options and is perfect for those who are looking for an affordable and efficient all-electric vehicle. The 36.8 kWh battery has a range of about 215 miles and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 5.5 seconds.

The 55.0 kWh battery is the larger of the two options and is perfect for those who are looking for a more luxurious and spacious all-electric vehicle. The 55.0 kWh battery has a range of about 310 miles and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 4.5 seconds.

Both battery options come with a 7.4 kW onboard charger, which means that the car can be fully charged in about 3.5 hours. But as always we recommend you stay away from rapid charging unless you really have to and used a premium home EV charger.
